The Bearded Talisman's Week 2 NFL picks

Chiefs +1.5 vs Eagles – Mahomes is 12-1-1 career ATS as an underdog. The Chiefs three 2nd half drives last week without Worthy yielded touchdown, touchdown and field goal, and the last drive should have been a TD had Kelce not cut off his route at the goal line. The Chiefs D will step it up in Arrowhead and Mahomes will continue to produce, even without Worthy.
Panthers +6.5 at Cardinals – Arizona was actually outgained 315-276 yards last week against the Saints, and some think the Saints are the worst team in the NFL. In a battle of 2 quarterbacks who can barely see over the line of scrimmage, I will take the one that is getting 6.5 points.
Broncos -2.5 at Colts – Unlike the Colts opponent last week (Miami), the Broncos have a Top 5 defense, and Daniel Jones and the Colts offense will not be able to move the ball. Broncos win this by double digits.
Bears +6.5 at Lions – Lots of question marks on the Lions offensive line and the Bears defense gets a boost this week with Pro-Bowl corner Jaylon Johnson back in the lineup. I don’t trust the Lions D with Alimm McNeill still out, and Ben Johnson should be able to take advantage.
Jets +6.5 vs Bills – Jets had 394 yards offense against the Steelers last week, and the Bills best defender Ed Oliver has been ruled out this week. Expect Justin Fields to keep moving the ball and keep it really close again this week.
(Week 1 – 2-3, Season 2-3)
