The Bearded Talisman's PGA Tour Championship picks

1.  Scottie Scheffler to WIN (+345) – After obliterating the field in Memphis, the world number one played through hand, foot and mouth disease at the BMW and remarkably still finished T-12th.   He said today (8/26) he’s 95% recovered.   Really since The Travelers he has told anyone who wanted to listen that his game is improving.    The Scottie we saw in Memphis was an “A”.    With the disease all but out of his system he is an “A” this week as well, and he wins.   The only issue for most is that the +345 odds are too short, which is why I parlayed him with Monday baseball (which I normally do NOT recommend).

   

2. Wyndham Clark to WIN WITHOUT Scottie Scheffler (+1350, 1 unit) – Clark – right now - is the best golfer on Earth not named Scottie Scheffler.    He says his weakness is bunker play but he is hitting the ball so well right now he almost never winds up in a bunker.   And if you think it’s tough to win in back to back weeks keep in mind with this bet he only has to beat 28 other golfers, and some of them are NOT playing well right now, and none of them is named Scottie Scheffler.

   
   

3. Chris Gotterup to WIN WITHOUT Scottie Scheffler (+1600, 1 unit) – Finished T-4^th last week at the BMW.   Finished T-10^th at the Tour Championship last year – he actually had the same cumulative score as Fleetwood over the final 3 rounds.   He is locked in with his irons right now  - he nearly aced the 6^th hole at Bellerive last Friday – which is an impossible par 3.   The truth is after meeting him and his girlfriend briefly last Friday in St. Louis, it’s obvious he is locked in on everything in life.   And Gotterup is a finisher – he’s won 3 times this year.   If he has the lead on the back 9 on Sunday, he will hold it, at least against anyone but Scottie, and you do not need to beat Scottie with this bet.
