Steelers +3.0 vs Bills – The NFL is a war of attrition. Both of Buffalo’s starting offensive tackles are OUT. They already have sustained key injuries on D (Ed Oliver – out for season). I lean more to the side that Buffalo is in free fall than on the mend. Pittsburgh can take total control of the AFC North with a win. I trust TJ Watt against a suspect O-Line more than I trust the Bills D on the road, and the Steelers are getting 3 points.
Texans +3.0 at Colts – The Texans have won 4 of their last 5 games, while the Colts have lost two of their last three games. Daniel Jones is dealing with a fractured fibula and he is facing one of the best defenses in the league. That was a grueling OT loss to KC last week, a game in which the Colts did not have a first down in the 4th quarter or overtime. CJ Stroud is back at QB, and after this game in the wide open AFC, Texans fans win be saying “Why not us?”
Rams -10.5 at Panthers – The Rams are the best team in the NFL. The Panthers are one of the worst teams; and, are on a short week after the MNF loss to San Francisco. The Rams smell blood in the water for the number one seed after the Philly loss Friday. And how do you bet Bryce Young, especially against the Rams D? Stafford’s career season continues in a blowout win at Carolina.
Dolphins -5.5 vs Saints – Miami has won 3 of 4 and are coming off a bye week, and they have surrendered 13 points of fewer in 3 of their last 4 games. Things are so bad for the Saints right now they got blown out by Atlanta last week in New Orleans, a game in which they did not score an offensive touchdown. Miami head coach Mike McDaniel has a bad record against good teams in any setting, but he has a really good record at home against sub .500 teams. Maybe he is the NFL version of Eli Drinkwitz?
Broncos -6.5 at Commanders – Commanders have failed to cover the spread in six straight, while the Broncos are coming off a bye week and Surtain is back in the lineup in the Broncos secondary. I just don’t see how the Commanders move the ball on Denver, and they may very well go backwards.
