The Bearded Talisman's Week 5 NFL Picks

  1. Broncos +4.5 at Eagles – Denver is a playoff team and they need this game more than Philly, and the Broncos two losses were both by last-second field goals.   Coach Payton and his team keep this one close or win it straight up.

  2. Commanders +2.5 at Chargers  – Jayden Daniels is back for Washington and the Chargers looked like a battered team walking off the field in New York last week.   They are down to their 3rd string left tackle.

  3. Bucs +3.5 at Seahawks  - I don’t like how Seattle’s D gave up 2 straight TDs in the 4th quarter last week when they really needed stops, and Baker Mayfield – even without Mike Evans - is much more of a challenge than Kyler Murray.

  4. Texans -1.5 at Ravens – Lamar Jackson is out along with several other Ravens, and Baltimore’s season is in a full nose-dive.   With a win today the Texans really stabilize and start to save their season.

  5. Chiefs -3.5 at Jaguars (Monday night) – With Worthy back last week, the Chiefs offense looked to be in Super Bowl contending form, and we all know the Chiefs can play D.   Normally I avoid the Chiefs when the spread is greater than 3, but I’m really bullish on them this week.

Patriots -7.5 at Bengals – Chase is OUT on offense for Cincy.    Hendrickson is OUT on defense for Cincy.   Flacco looked like the early season version of Flacco in last week’s 34-12 loss in Pittsburg
