Kirk, BT win The Honda Classic

Chris Kirk ended a near 8-year victory drought with a tap-in birdie on the first playoff hole to win The Honda Classic in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The win also gave The Bearded Talisman his 2nd 35-1 pre-tournament winner in 3 weeks, having won at Pebble Beach with Justin Rose.

Kirk's win did not prove easy. With a 1 stroke lead on the 18th hole, Kirk hit his approach into the water and made bogey, opening the door for Eric Cole to win. But Cole's greenside chip from just over 100 feet away blew passed the hole by 20 feet, and he could not make the comeback chip for birdie; and thus, the two went to the deciding playoff hole.

The Bearded Talisman, who collected over $28,000.00 in PGA winnings on DraftKings in February, heads to Orlando, Florida next week for The Arnold Palmer Invitational.
